The material in this book is inspired from the
verse in Proverbs 3:17: “its ways (i.e., the Torah) are
ways of pleasantness, and all its paths are peaceful.”
Any person who behaves graciously radiates a
sense of peace and tranquility. This volume is
intended to introduce readers to the types of acceptable
behavior that will help people in their
relationships with their own family, neighbors,
and people in general. It ought to be useful in
reminding the reader how to act or respond according
to the suggestions of the rabbinic sages in
a variety of life’s situations. Advice drawn for this
volume will be derived from the Bible as well as
rabbinic sources, including the Talmud, various
codes of Jewish law, and several midrashic works.
